Ultra Tech Machinery Introduces a NEW E-Series CNC PowerModule for Non-ferrous Applications.

Chicago, IL (September, 2004) – Ultra Tech Machinery, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of metal forming and machining equipment, introduces a NEW E-Series CNC PowerModule for Non-ferrous Applications.

In response to the demand of their customers and market requirements, Ultra Tech Machinery has developed a new E-Series PowerModule. There existed a need for a 3-axis module with all the exclusive features of original Ultra Tech PowerModule such as an automatic tool changer, but with less horsepower as a result Ultra Tech developed a module rated for 20HP (15kW).

The E-Series PowerModule is configured in a 510mm working cube but can also be customized for a specific application. Ultra Tech, a FANUC Robotics Integrator, also offers competitively priced FANC 21i control for the increasing number of companies requiring a total solution.

The 510 E-Series module comes equipped with many standard components that include; roller rail linear ways, a complete slide lubrication system, precision ground ball-screws, over-travel and home limit switches, a robust 6,000-rpm, 40-taper spindle with an automatic drawbar, and cable carriers for all axes. Even if the customer prefers to integrate the control system, Ultra Tech test runs each unit at their facility for 20 hours before shipment.

Module Options
As an option, Ultra Tech offers a 20-tool automatic tool changer (ATC), a Fanuc 21i CNC control, through-the-spindle coolant, a 10,000-rpm spindle, scale feedback for all axes, and an indexable turret.
